Dog lover to the BONE

Discovering My Passion

My professional journey in the dog field began in 2018, but my connection with animals, especially dogs, has been a lifelong affair. Even as a child, I possessed a unique sixth sense for understanding the animal world. This innate ability allowed me to secure a position at a doggie daycare despite lacking formal experience with animals. From that point forward, my world transformed as I delved deeper into the realm of canine care.

A New Challenge: Karma

Working at the daycare was indeed enjoyable, but it didn't fulfill my desire for challenge and growth. I was particularly drawn to working with dogs that posed behavioral challenges and finding innovative ways to engage and teach them. Fate intervened when a Doberman puppy named Karma entered my life. She was about to be sold to questionable individuals, and I couldn't stand by and watch. I stepped in, bought Karma, and saved her from a potentially bleak future. Karma became my driving force, constantly pushing me to expand my knowledge and skills in dog training and behavior.

Becoming a 'DOG MOM'

Today, I proudly refer to myself as a 'DOG MOM' to two large rescue dogs. Karma was joined by Duke, a Mastiff-Bully mix I initially fostered before the XL Bully ban in England. Given my experience with powerful breeds, I was recruited to help rehabilitate dogs abandoned due to fears they might resemble the XL Bully type. Duke was one such dog, and after a brief stay at my home, he formed an inseparable bond with Karma. I couldn't bear to let him go, and he became a permanent member of our family.

The Heartbreak and Reward of Rescue Work

While most dogs I encountered in my volunteer work found happy endings, witnessing their struggles was often heartbreaking. Many suffered due to human negligence, and some never received their deserved happy endings. Although some may not be fans of bully-type dogs, I believe every dog is worth saving. My mission is to share my skills and knowledge to change perceptions about our beloved pets and improve communication with them.

My Commitment to Growth and Learning

Driven by passion, I pursued various certifications in dog training and behavior, along with Pet First Aid and CPR certification. Safety is paramount, and I am well-prepared to handle emergencies. I frequently attend workshops and collaborate with fellow trainers to remain at the forefront of dog training techniques. Currently, I am studying under one of the best dog trainers in the world to ensure my skills meet the highest standards possible.

My Philosophy and Approach

I believe in building a strong bond between dogs and their owners through trust, patience, and understanding. By focusing on positive and breed-fulfilling interactions, I create an environment that encourages growth and learning for both dogs and their humans. Training should be a fun and positive experience, and I advocate for a balanced approach that respects a dog's individuality.
